Mrs. Wendy Klome is the General Manager Finance & Administration of Priority Insurance where she supports Management with her rich experiences to improve the performance of the company making it one of the fast-growing insurance companies in the industry.
Wendy began her insurance career at SIC Insurance Company Limited, now known as SIC Insurance PLC. She played a key role in running the Accounts and Finance Department. She has seventeen years working experience in the insurance industry serving in various areas of financial reporting, treasury management, investment management, regulatory reporting &compliance, taxation, auditing and financial analysis and planning. She worked shortly with Land Administration Project under the Ministry of Lands Forestry and Mines where she worked with international funding agencies like DFID, IDA and GIZ as an Account Officer.
Wendy is Chartered Accountant, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)-UK, Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG). She is Chartered Insurer and Associate Member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG). She holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Ghana, BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK and a Higher National Diploma from the then Takoradi Polytechnic now Takoradi Technical University, Diploma and Advance Diploma in Applied Insurance from Malta International Training Centre and Certificate in Municipal Finance from the World Bank Institute
Wendy has intensive technical and leadership training both local and international. She has immense skills and strategic ability that make her outstanding in her performance.
She is the Chairperson of the Finance Committee of the Association of Women Accountants Ghana (AWAG) and a member of AWAG Membership Committee. AWAG is a wing of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. She is also a member of the Finance Committee of Women in Insurance Ghana (WING) and Chartered Insurance Ladies Association of Ghana (CILAG).
