Abubakari Salifu

Salifu is a seasoned professional in the insurance and risk management industry with over 17 years of experience. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Cape Coast and a Master’s degree in Insurance and Business Continuity from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Additionally, he earned an international MPhil from UCAM, Spain, and an Advanced Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management (UK).

Salifu is a distinguished Associate in Risk Management (ARM) with The Institutes (USA), a Chartered Insurer (Ghana), and a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU, USA). Currently, he is pursuing his Doctorate degree with UCAM, Spain.

In academia, Salifu serves as a lecturer at the Ghana Insurance College and KNUST, where he teaches at the Master’s degree level. He also chairs the Priority Insurance Education Committee, demonstrating his commitment to advancing professional education in the industry.

Throughout his career, Salifu has worked with reputable organizations, including KEK Group and Regency Alliance Insurance, before joining Priority Insurance. His dedication extends beyond corporate roles to professional associations. He is the Vice Chair of the CPCU Global Virtual Committee, Vice President of the CPCU West Africa Chapter, and a Committee Member of the GIA External Liaison and Public Relations Committee. Salifu also contributes to the Insurance Awareness Coordinating Group Working Committee, focusing on industry education and outreach.

Salifu’s expertise is further enriched by extensive training programs attended locally and internationally. He is a respected leader, educator, and advocate for the continuous development of the insurance profession.
