EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT TEAM
Matthew Kweku Atta Aidoo
Managing Director
Matthew is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered insurer by profession. He graduated from the University of Cape Coast where he earned his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) Degree and Diploma in Education in 1992. He has MBA Finance from Coventry University, UK. He also possess professional certificate in insurance, ACII (UK). He is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA). He also possesses a Diploma and Advance diploma in Insurance from Malta International Institute, Malta.
He started his professional career with the defunct Great African Insurance Company Limited in 1993 as an Accounts Officer and rose through the ranks to become acting Chief Finance Officer of the company in 1996.He worked with the Social Security and National Insurance Trust(SSNIT) as an Investment Analyst. Matthew also worked with Ghana Life Insurance Company Limited as the Chief Finance Officer in 2009, and other multinational companies such as UNDP Enterprise Africa Project and West African Gas pipeline.
Before joining Priority Insurance, he was the Chief Finance Officer of Provident Insurance Company Limited
Wendy Klome
General Manager, Finance
Mrs. Wendy Klome began her insurance career at SIC Insurance Company Limited and played a key role in running the Accounts and Finance Department at SIC Insurance Company Limited. She worked shortly with Land Administration Project under the Ministry of Lands Forestry and Mines.
She has over a decade years’ experience in the insurance industry serving in various areas of financial reporting, treasury management, investment management, regulatory reporting, taxation, auditing and financial analysis and planning.
She is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) (UK) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG).
She is a holder of a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University – United Kingdom. She holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (Finance Option) from the University of Ghana Business School and a Higher National Diploma from the then Takoradi Polytechnic now Takoradi Technical University. She holds a Certificate in Municipal Finance from the World Bank Institute.
Felix Akyea- Bekoe
General Manager, Operations
FELIX AKYEA-BEKOE holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the Central University College (CUC), Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management from the Coventry University (UK). In addition to the above, he is a Chartered Insurer and Chartered Purchaser. He is also a Graduate from the West African Insurance Institute (WAII) in The Gambia.
Until his appointment as the General Manager, Operations at Priority Insurance Company Limited in the year 2015, Mr. Akyea-Bekoe worked at SIC Insurance Company Limited for close to eighteen (18) years having served in various capacities including being the Head of Claims Department, Kumasi Area office; Branch Manager, Dansoman Office; and Deputy Head, Team 4 Retail Department.
Abubakar Salifu
General Manager, Business Development and Marketing
Salifu graduated from Baptist University College of Ghana with Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Master’s degree in Insurance and Business Continuity from KNUST. He also possesses an Advance Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management (UK).
Salifu is an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) with Institute (USA) and a Chartered Insurer (CIIG)
He is also Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting and a member of the CPCU Society,USA.
He started his insurance career as an agent with Glico General Insurance for over two years from 2006 to 2008.
Later joined KEK Insurance Brokers as a Senior Broking Officer in charge of Marketing for the Kumasi branch in 2013.
Salifu later moved to Regency Alliance Insurance before joining Priority Insurance in 2016 and 2018 as branch head for Takoradi and Kumasi Branch respectively.
He has over 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry.
